This mixtape was the grind in its purest form.

I made The Pro Show right after college in 2006 on a shoestring budget. I was doing everything myself. Making a lot of the beats. Recording wherever I could. Learning as I went. There was no safety net and no plan B.

I would sell these CDs in downtown Nashville, hand to hand, face to face. I’d also sell them to the homies at wholesale prices and they would flip them for double. At the time it was just survival and hustle, but looking back, this was the beginning of my journey as both an artist and a record label owner.

This project represents independence, creativity, and the early lessons of ownership. It’s the sound of someone figuring it out in real time and laying the foundation for everything that came next.
